Its December, the month where for many its an amazing, joyful and a fun month…. For others its a month that closes off the year and for many more, are more than happy to say good bye to a crappy year…..
For many people who have gone through IVF and didn’t have that successful outcome….. December is a black hole…… its dark, unknown and we’ll can suck everything out of you physically, emotionally and financially. Just like the year you have been through. And whether its multiple IUI’s, failed IVFs….. its TOUGH TOUGH TOUGH….
So how do you start into this new year, this new decade…… how do you go from a some what, broken, bruised, sometime angry, more times sad…. Human…. To kicking down the door of 2020…. With those goals, plans and emotional physical strength….. to start again….
Well I don’t actually have an answer……… I know I know…..
The reason is that we are all different… we have all gone through the same journey….. but taken very different roads this year….. there is no quick fix here…..
There are tools to help…. And those are the things I want you to look for…. Tools that help you get stronger… getting you back in the game… with the game face to win 2020….. and yes I know 2019 absolutely, completely 100% sucked!!!!!!!!! And you may feel alone…. Where friends and family just don’t understand….. where your relationship with you partner is stretched like an elastic band and ready to snap….. where you just want to be left alone……. (That’s not the solution)
First off….. how far are you willing to go to having a baby…… to the ends of the earth I bet….
Medically how far can you go….. is it naturally….. with IUI…. IVF….. donor sperm or donor egg….. where is your limit…
Your clinic, are they the best… or are they around the corner a few miles from you house and easy to get to….. or are you going abroad to where the best of the best are there…. Not all the clinics are equal in their ability to help you have a baby…. Some clicks are just outstanding or others are well…. Just about average……. If you were my brother or sister and sitting with me over December holidays…. Well my port of call would certainly not be a clinic five miles away, if your 3 years in trying, 3 failed iris, 2 failed IVFs and have a diagnosis of we its unexplained… or well its your age and its old age….. that is NOT NOT NOT an answer…… that’s an easy target for doctors….
Are you taking care of you….. are you stressed out of your eye balls at work…. Stressed out with family and friends looking for help from you all the time with their problems…… are you not taking care of you… emotionally and physically….
Whats going on if your relationship with your partner… what’s changed… what’s being ignored…… I will make one promise and one GUARANTEE here….. if this is not strong like Titanium……. The foundation of everything is going to break….. 99% of Titanium relationship…. Where the couple are a team…. Where their differences make them stronger… not weaker…. Get to the success of having a baby….. (I KNOW ALOT OF TOUGH LOVE HERE)
But these are the tools in the toolbox…. To really look at….
- Find the doctor that’s the best, not the one that was just assigned to you, who looks exhausted, bored and just wants to clock off.
- Find the clinic that works for you, not just because its a few miles away….
- Find out how far you are willing to go…. To have your baby.
- Find out how to take care of you…. Your wellbeing.
- Find out truly and honestly how the relationship between you and your partner is doing…
And from there…… KICK THE DOOR IN FOR 2020…… screaming like a crazed VIKING Warrior…. And lets make 2020 the year for life creation…..
